The Rev. Seth Cain
Rector / Lead Pastor
In July of 2014, the Cains moved to the west side of Greenville to plant Village Church (ACNA). Seth & Ashley were married in 1999 after graduating as English majors from Emmanuel College. Seth graduated from Wheaton College (MA, Biblical Studies / Spiritual Formation) in 2004, and was ordained immediately following. His time in local church ministry, half of which has been bi-vocational, involved both a revitalization and a new church plant (He has also been a graphic and web designer since 2000). Having grown up in the Shenandoah Valley of VA and on the coast of Northeast FL, Seth loves all things outdoors, both land and sea. Ashley is a Columbia, SC native, an educator and wise counselor who builds the church through her many gifts. She is an avid runner and loves experimenting with new recipes.

The Rev. Cameron Robinson
Associate Rector / Pastor
Cameron joined the leadership of Village Church in June of 2017. He and his wife, Joy, moved back to Joy’s hometown in the Upstate in 2015 after graduating from Wake Forest School of Divinity and serving as Simeon Fellow at Christ Church (ACNA). Cameron and Joy married in 2013 after graduating from THE University of South Carolina, Cameron with a degree in Media Arts and Joy with a BSN in Nursing. Cameron’s ministerial appointments have included Simeon Fellow, hospital chaplain, and pastor of a Reformed Episcopal Church (an ACNA founding jurisdiction). He and Joy both have a heart for people and a passion to equip God’s children with the skills they need to succeed in the areas to which they are called. They have one beautiful daughter Koryn and enjoy getting away to the mountains to commune with God. Cameron loves cars, books, and art and Joy loves all things “quirky.”
The Rev. Canon Paul Jagoe
Paul and Robin began worshipping at Village Church in February 2017. Robin is from Graham, NC and Paul is from El Paso, TX. They were married in 1980. Paul has been a high school chaplain and church pastor in the Houston area. Paul has an MDiv from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and DMin from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The Jagoes moved from FL to Greenville in 2012 to be near children and grandchildren. Paul is currently a chaplain for Halcyon Hospice and the Provost for Anglican Mission International. Paul loves to read and stays busy renovating their house! Robin received her BS from Meredith College. She has taught young children for many years and is presently a kindergarten teacher at Shannon Forest Christian School. She enjoys staying active by walking and swimming and has completed a marathon or two with her daughter, Sarah.
Village Church Assistant
A book hoarder and visual artist, Hallie loves to keep people organized. She likes making sure details are in order, and often leaves a trail of glitter. But mostly, she just loves to help people get things done. She and her artist husband Nathan love to travel. And collect more books. You can email her with general inquiries, volunteer opportunity questions, or anything else that comes to mind at firstname.lastname@example.org
Children's Ministry Director
Sharon is wife to David, mother to six grown children, and grandmother of seven. She is a recently retired school teacher and school administrator of several Greenville County Schools. She holds an elementary education degree from Bob Jones University and a school administration degree from Furman University. Her experience in education includes elementary, middle, and high school as well as teaching adults. For fun, she takes art classes, plays the piano, rides bikes, eats delicious food, drinks good coffee, and sits on the porch. Her desire is to know and communicate the steadfast love of the Lord in word and deed.
One of the few, the proud, Alec served as a Marine Judge Advocate ("JAG") with a heart for justice and mercy. He now works as legal advisor to a federal judge working regularly with the rehabilitative drug court. He and lovely wife Jill have four amazing kids, and as a family enjoy hiking, exploring, and romping in God's beautiful wilderness. He plays a few instruments, but on Sunday mornings at Village Church, you'll find him most often on guitar or keyboard. Alec thinks the Christian life is perhaps best summed up in Micah 6:8 - "What does God require of you? To do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
Heather and her husband Erik relocated to Greenville in 2013 from Charlotte. The Esches have been with Village Church since Day 1, joining the "Seed Group" early in 2014. They both served on the initial Leadership Council, as well. Heather, who has worked her entire career in non-profit (currently for The United Way), is an Excel whiz and grant-writer, but her passion is serving others. She describes herself as an aspiring social justice super hero who loves tacos and people. She and Erik frequently host of all sorts of Village Church gatherings, including our annual chili-cookoff. Heather served on the Village Church vestry in 2017 and was voted to remain our Treasurer in 2018.
