A Helping Hand
Many in our community are in need due especially to income loss from COVID-19. The most requested needs are for food and emergency financial assistance for housing and utility expenses. Below are some ways you can help. Thank you for loving the Church and our community well.
If you are in need of assistance; financial, errands, housework, childcare, housing, or other, please call the church 864.214.6876 or email Heather@villagegreenville.com.
We have many in our congregation who have offered to help!
Stock the Shelves
Drop off unopened, in-date, non-perishable food or unopened travel/hotel sized toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc) at the church. These supplies and food will be given to local food banks and homeless shelters serving our community.
You can bring the items when you pick up your consecrated communion or email heather@villagegreenville.com to set up a drop-off time.
Emergency Financial Assistance
Organizations providing assistance with rent and utilities are reporting a record high number of families requesting help since COVID-19. The non-profit network in the upstate provides a strong, coordinated system of care to help people receive the help they need in an efficient and responsible manner. They also work with clients to find long-term solutions to chronic issues.
The Salvation Army of Greenville provides emergency financial assistance, homeless shelter services, and daily meal distribution. Shop from their Wal-Mart wish list here or find out more about donating & volunteering here.
United Ministries provides emergency financial assistance, food pantry services, day shelter for the homeless and a continuum of services to help individuals find and maintain sustainable housing and employment. They are currently in need of non-perishable canned goods, travel/hotel sized toiletries and financial donations. Give here.
