“So God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
-Gen. 1:27
Every human life has value because each person is made in God’s image. Christians have defended human dignity in various ways throughout history— from developing the first public hospitals to care for the sick in Imperial Rome, to championing the abolition of the slave trade in England the 19th century, to leading the American Civil Rights movement in the 1960’s.
Village for Life is a group of volunteers committed to prayer and partnership with others in our city to creatively support life in every stage. We seek to be holistically pro-life by decrying all forms of dehumanization, which create what Pope John Paul II called “a culture of death.” As Christians we are called to uphold the humanity of the unborn, the homeless, the mentally ill, the elderly, the poor, the refugee, and the prisoner.
We are a local, nonpartisan expression of Anglicans for Life, a ministry of the Anglican Church in North America that encourages congregations to discern their unique call to defend human dignity in their specific contexts.
